[like most mornings, mako heads down to the cottage to pick up a few things. unlike most mornings, when she gets there, there's only half a cottage. The other half missing piecemeal, simply vanished.

so she knows, now.

she packs a bag, her clothes and her things, carefully and deliberately. the rest will disappear soon. there's no point in half a cottage, after all. once the bag is packed, she heads back to where she's been sleeping. she doesn't look back. the rush of mojikara returning to her is all she needs to know.

she doesn't stop at the door or in the main room of the cabin, just grabs jiu wu by the arm, pulling him into his room without a word and shutting the door behind her. then she pushes him down onto the bed and curls up against his side]

[ he curls his arm tighter around her waist as the other continues to pet at her head, tucking her close ]

And Mako-time lasts until Mako says it's over, alright?

[which, ironically, is what starts her crying again, because that particular nice is just. not a thing that happens often]
